To celebrate Iz’s first decade we decided to do ten for ten clebrations (Ok we sort of seemed to have so many events scheduled that i just decided to make it seem like I had intentionally planned to do them all). Because of Raffy and my complete lack of any organisational skills at the moment, I thought it would be easier to have a few friends to do different things at different times rather than one big party….First up was a couple of quiet friends over for cake decorating!
For the past couple of summers the kids have painted a plate at the local pottery painting cafe, so a rainy day meant it was the 2013 pottery plate painting day..
Kitty got slightly annoyed after painting her plate purple over and over but the older kids had a great time. Just have to wait a week for glazing to see the end product.

We waited up for the first fireworks at the beach of the season (10 O’Clock being very late for me!). After many attempts we managed to light a BBQ asnd have hot dogs while the kids scooted before the big bangs. Followed by sparklers of course. After being excited all day Kitty made it until 10 O’clock then sat in her pushchair and fell asleep during the display!
P.S. Turned out we were rubbish at taking photos of fireworks!

As Kitty’s most favoured cartoon character we thought we’d get in a trip to Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park. We arrived at opening time and were surprised to be in a queue of cars. I think mostly full of pre-schoolers though who also headed straight to the Peppa Pig World section which was pretty packed!
It was so hot and busy we stopped early for lunch and a play in the splash park…

Luckily the rest of the park had lots of pre-schooler friendly rides which Kit loved.
Then the big kids got a turn on Magma, the Cobra, The edge and the swings and Kitty started getting a little bored!

Admittedly I was getting quite bored of not being allowed on any rides…bored enough to take photos of my bag while I waited.

We braved Peppa Pig Wrold again and Kitty even got to meet Peppa Pig which Tom also looks pretty pleased about!
